Summary: Quickly collects no personal information. Your templates and messages are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud, where the developer can't see them. The keyboard never connects to the internet. Only if you choose another company's AI yourself is the request you write sent to that company.
Quickly collects no personal information. It uses no sign-up, sign-in, analytics, ads or advertising identifier, and the messages you create and the text you type are never sent to the developer.
The templates, Finished Texts and tags you create are stored on your device. If the device is signed in to iCloud, the same information is also stored in your own private iCloud storage and kept in sync with your other devices that use the same Apple Account. This storage is managed by Apple under your account, and the developer can't see its contents.
Settings are stored on each device. The only exceptions are how long Finished Texts are kept and the maximum number per template, which are also stored in iCloud so they match across your devices.
To read the templates saved by the app on the same device, the Quickly keyboard accesses only the on-device storage that the app and the keyboard share.
The Quickly keyboard never connects to the internet, and it doesn't record what you type or send it anywhere. It doesn't communicate even when Allow Full Access is turned on in iOS Settings; turning it on only adds vibration when you tap keys.
When you choose Apple Intelligence, messages are created on your device and the request you write never leaves it.
When you choose External AI Prompt, the app sends nothing. You copy the prompt, paste it into an AI app of your choice, and paste the answer back into Quickly. Anything that happens inside that AI app is governed by that app's policies.
Only if you choose ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and enter your own API key is the request you write sent to that company (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). That company's privacy policy then applies, and it bills your account for usage. The API key is stored only in the device's Keychain and is never moved to other devices.
A backup file is created only when you run Create Backup File, and you choose where to save or share it. Backup files are never sent to the developer.
Quickly requires no account or sign-in. iCloud sync uses your own Apple Account that is signed in on the device.
Settings › Reset All Data deletes all templates, Finished Texts and tags on this device and on your other devices that use the same iCloud account. This can't be undone.
Deleting the app deletes the information stored on this device. Information stored in iCloud remains after the app is deleted, and, as iCloud sync works, comes back if you reinstall the app with the same account. To delete the iCloud copy as well, run Reset All Data before deleting the app.
You can remove an API key in Settings at any time.
iCloud sync is provided by Apple and is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) receive requests only if you choose them yourself with your own API key, and their privacy policies apply (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). Beyond this, Quickly sends no information to any third party.
Quickly collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If the way information is handled changes, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before releasing the new version, and change the effective date above.
